We build gennyguide to WCAG 2.2 AA and treat it as a floor, not a target.
Our commitment
gennyguide aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across the site, including the sizing and cost calculators. We test new interactive features against these standards rather than assuming they pass.
What we build in
- Readable text: comfortable font sizes, line length and line height throughout.
- Strong contrast: text and interface colors meet WCAG AA contrast ratios in both light and dark mode.
- Keyboard operation: every link, button, form control and calculator step works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline that's never removed.
- Zoom: pages reflow at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling or clipped text.
- Meaning without color alone: we pair color with a label or icon, never color alone.
- Reduced motion: we honor your device's reduced-motion setting and avoid auto-playing carousels or countdown timers.
- Images: meaningful images carry descriptive alt text.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never finished. We re-check pages as we add features, and any third-party or partner site we link to is outside our control — but we choose partners with that in mind.
